Information for Parents

The National Leadership Summit (NCLS) is a once in a lifetime event that your son can participate in. He will spend a week immersed in an environment focused on the ideals of scouting and how to better implement them in their local units, chapters, and lodges.

Scouts who attend the NCLS get a chance to meet and interact with other Scouts from across the country, and to work with great adult leaders. The Summit, which will be held on the campus of Indiana University, will provide a safe and healthy environment for a young man to learn about leadership, brotherhood, and service, all in an atmosphere of fun and excitement.

To better understand the NCLS program, take a look at the events and activities these young men enjoyed at the last National Leadership Summit in 1999.

The 2007 NCLS will begin with dinner on Saturday, July 28 and conclude at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1 at Indiana University, Bloomington.
Location: http://www.iub.edu/visit/

All council contingents and conservation staff members can select arrival times for Saturday, July 28, when they register online at the NCLS registration portal.

Please Note: The summit will not include an early arrival day.
