General Information

The National Conservation and Leadership Summit (NCLS) will be the first summit-type event held since the National Leadership Summit of 1999 at Colorado State University. Over 2,000 Arrowmen from every lodge in the nation will join together at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana to participate in either the Leadership or Conservation track of the summit.

In the leadership track, lodge leaders will have the opportunity to participate in workshops that will coach lodges in implementing the new strategic plan. The 2008-2012 Strategic Plan: Living the Legacy helps to build seamless integration of the council and lodge. The Lodge will learn new ways to serve the council while better prepare youth to be the leaders of tomorrow. Much of the ideology revolving the new strategic plan will build on the predecessor plan, 2003-2007: A Legacy of Servant Leadership.

The conservation track will teach participants various conservation techniques and methodologies in anticipation of serving as staff for the 2008 ArrowCorps5 event, the largest organized service in the Order's history. All staff for ArrowCorps5 is encouraged to register and attend the summit.

This 4-day summit will provide a framework for the future and will be a forum for idea sharing to improve its programming and service opportunities in the future. It is our hope that this will complement the Council's success for years to come and will build a stronger bond between the Council and Lodge.

Join the Order of the Arrow and strengthen the ties of brotherhood by participating in the 2007 National Conservation and Leadership Summit. See you in Indiana!
