Conservation Track Guide (387 KBytes, PDF)

Since the founding of the Order of the Arrow over ninety years ago Arrowmen have been busy incorporating the principles of brotherhood, cheerfulness and service into their daily lives. In 2007 Arrowmen will have the opportunity to live all three of these principles at the National Conservation and Leadership Summit (NCLS) at Indiana University. The summit will be an opportunity for leadership from lodges across the nation to come together to learn, educate, and have fellowship with one another. Training and preparation for ArrowCorps5 will take place along with the presentation and implementation of the 2008-2012 National Strategic Plan: Living the Legacy.

Arrowmen interested in staffing at the ArrowCorp5 projects will have the chance to learn about trail rehabilitation techniques, crew management skills and topics specific to each of the five national park project sites. The national strategic plan represents the national committee's vision for the future of the Order of the Arrow. By learning about the different aspects of the new plan, lodge leadership will be able to gain more insight as to the direction the OA over the next five years.

If you are interested in being on ArrowCorps5 staff you should Register Online. If you are selected to be on the ArrowCorps5 staff you should go ahead and mark the National Conservation and Leadership Summit on your Calendar. The NCLS is being held July 28th through August 1st, 2007, at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana so don't miss this opportunity to help lay the groundwork for the next five years of brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service!
