Goals & Preliminary Program Plans for the Summit

The Conservation Committee is responsible for the conservation leadership training for 800 participants who will be squad leaders for ArrowCorps5.  This committee is training the largest service project of its time that will have far reaching and lasting impact well beyond the summer of 2008.  Training will take place on campus and off campus.

During the Conservation track of the Summit, participants will be developing their knowledge on the job specifics of ArrowCorps5. One day during the Summit, participants and staff will be applying their knowledge and gaining experience while working on projects at the Hoosier National Forest. This project is designed to give participants a taste of what ArrowCorps5 will be like. Each individual ArrowCorps5 site will have specific training where the participants can gain knowledge of their particular geographic area and national forest. Each night Conservation participants will have the opportunity to participate in the activities such as a Root Beer Float-A-Thon and Gatherings.
