James E. West Trading Post

Returning to NOAC is the National Order of the Arrow Endowment trading post. Special items are available at the trading post for those making donations to the OA endowment. You may be wondering what the national OA endowment fund is, and why it is so important? Well, have you ever been to an OA high adventure base or been to an OA event at the Jamboree? Have you been to the National Leadership Seminar? Has your lodge received an OA service grant or have you have received an OA scholarship? All of these programs and events are what the national Order of the Arrow endowment supports. You now have an opportunity to give back to the Order by simply making a donation for as little three dollars, or as high as $500. Every donation has a gift that you will receive for making a contribution.

The OA Endowment booth has all kinds of items for sale, such as wristbands for a $5 donation, survival bracelets for a $10 donation, Vigil Honor and other coins for a $25 donation. More unique items include a patch portfolio for a $50 donation, which includes the 100th Eagle Scout Flap along with two different 2012 NOAC themed patches. The endowment trading post also offers a red Vigil Honor sash that was created to commemorate the 50 years of service to the Order by Carl M. Marchetti, MD. There were only 50 made, and less than 13 remain, so if you want one, time is of the essence.

If you are a James E. West Fellow, you can also become an Order of the Arrow Legacy Fellow by donating $1,000 to the endowment. Members who become a Legacy Fellow will receive a brass arrowhead pin for their James E. West Award knot, and a certificate.
This year the endowment trading post offers a free gift for first time NOAC attendees, James E. West Fellows, and Legacy Fellows. Be sure to stop by the endowment area of the trading post and help us continue to bring these amazing programs to both current and future Arrowmen.

Patch Trading Between Youth and Adults

New for this NOAC, patch trading is permitted between youth and adults during the evening trading sessions supervised by volunteers from the International Scouting Collectors Association (ISCA).

ISCA volunteers, identifiable by a blue ISCA vest, will be monitoring patch trading in the Jenison Field House each evening and will be available for questions or concerns. An Information Booth will also be in the center of the field house if you have questions.
