Wheelchair mobility services offered at NOAC 2015
The conference will offer transportation services to enable guests with
disabilities to travel to meals, activities and shows during the conference. The
campus shuttle route will have four buses equipped with wheelchair ramps. These
will operate as part of the daily shuttle service.
Van services with the capacity to accommodate a full size wheelchair will also
be a part of the disability transportation services. This services will be
available on a call-in basis for guests in need. You will need to schedule a
pickup; a number will be provided. The vans will be dispatched to the proper
pickup location as requested. Note that guests utilizing this service will be
required to have one buddy from the contingent to assist. Requests for transport
to meals and the shows will be during the busiest times; please plan your
requests accordingly. Guests using canes and other ambulatory devices that do
not require special lift assistance are encouraged to use the shuttle service.
The vans are only to be used by wheelchair restricted guests.
Additional information will be provided during the check-in process. If you
anticipate a need for transportation services all week, you can provide the
administrative services transportation group with your plans. Their office will
be located in the Kellogg Center.
