Inside NOAC Shows

One of the most unifying events at the National Order of the Arrow Conference is the arena show and NOAC 2022 will be no exception. This year, the Thompson–Boling Arena will house the nightly shows. These shows are among the most exciting events and will feature the state flag parade, recognitions for members, musical acts, and maybe even a visit from a VIP or two. Past guests have included then-Chief Scout Executive Wayne Brock and then-BSA President and former CIA director Dr. Robert M. Gates.

The National OA Shows team is currently hard at work writing, planning, and producing engaging thematic programs for the arena shows. These programs are unique, thought-provoking, and filled with special effects that will connect us back to the overall theme of the NOAC and touch the hearts and minds of conference guests. If guests leave the conference inspired, the National OA Shows team will be thrilled.

Starting with the opening show on the first night of the conference, attendees will be treated to an unfolding thematic storyline, the meaning of which will be revealed at Friday night’s closing show.

In between, attendees will be treated to shows honoring the Order of the Arrow’s history and another that recognizes the accomplishments of some Arrowmen who competed during the conference. Each night is filled with dazzling performances and meaningful moments meant to instill excitement and reflection.

Conference attendees will have the unique opportunity to hear the National Officers share their perspectives on Scouting, the Order of the Arrow, and the Conference theme: “Tomorrow Begins Today.” Arrowmen will also be recognized for their outstanding service at the Section, Region, and National levels.NOAC shows are some of the only times that everyone at NOAC will be in the same place at the same time. This alone can lead to some awesome moments – there is nothing like singing “Sweet Caroline” or “Call Me Maybe” with over 6,000 other Arrowmen. It’s always thrilling to see just what the NOAC Shows team has planned for NOAC attendees.
