NESA and Scouting Alumni Association Exhibit at the Experience

The Hub
Arrowmen who venture over to the National Eagle Scout Association @ NOAC Experience exhibit will have the opportunity to spin the prize wheel to win posters and other great NESA gifts. Participants will see various displays from the NESA, as well as other resources they can use back in their home councils to start or build their own NESA. NESA Arrowmen and representatives from the Scouting Alumni Association will be available to answer questions and recommend resources. Eagle Scouts who come to the exhibit will be given information on how they can become NESA members at a discounted rate.
NESA@NOAC Gathering of Eagles
Thursday August 6
5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Doors open at 5:00pm
Munn Ice Arena
This event is set to be the largest gathering of Eagle Scouts in one location. It will provide live entertainment, inspirational speakers and some fun surprises. Please have dinner prior to coming to the event as the dining halls will be open at 4:00pm. You will have the opportunity to meet and take your photo with several Distinguished Eagle Scouts before or after the Gathering.
Immediately following the NESA Gathering of Eagles, you may stay in the Munn Ice Arena for the AIA Night of Champions or attend the HoDag at the Hub.
NESA Reception for Distinguished Eagle Scouts and NESA Outstanding Eagle Scouts

8:30 – 9:30 p.m.
The Hub at the Philmont High Adventure Pavilion
This gathering is an opportunity for recipients of the DESA or NOESA to get together. There will be a short program and light refreshments. We ask that the DESA and NOESA Recipients to please bring and wear their neck ribbons. By invitation only.

Ice: How to Become an Explorer”

Distinguished Eagle Scout Dr. David Briscoe, Professor of Sociology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, will discuss college applications, scholarships and maximizing a college experience as an Eagle Scout as well as the NESA Scholarship program. World-renowned expedition medicine expert and Distinguished Eagle Scout Dr. Michael Manyak will discuss exploration, the new exploration merit badge and the NESA World Explorers program.

“Amazing Alumni Assets – Building Successful Alumni Connections”

NESA National Committee and Scouting Alumni Association committee members Todd R. Plotner, James Delorey and Mike Movius will share proven techniques for reconnecting and engaging Scouting alumni for a stronger program and Journey to Excellence. Participants will learn about best practices for alumni programs that they can take home to their councils and lodges.

NESA@NOAC will be partnering with Howell Nature Center to exhibit a Live American Bald Eagle during the Centennial Festival – It will be a great for photo opportunity with our nation’s symbol.
