5k Run
Due to inclement weather Tuesday morning, the much-anticipated 5K Run has been rescheduled to Thursday morning at 6:00am. Participants should be at the starting line at 5:45.
5K. A Time to Run.
For thousands of years, we’ve been running… running for food, running for safety, running for pleasure, and running for our lives. Today, many people run for the spirit of competition. Whether it is to achieve a personal best, to finish a marathon, or to train for the Olympics – we run. One of the most popular events for runners is the 5K, which is typically an outdoor road race or cross country event.
On Thursday morning, NOAC’s Activities and Recreation Committee (ARC) will host a 5K run. Runners should assemble at 5:40 am at the corner of Farm Lane and Auditorium Road. Competitive runners should stage themselves closest to the starting line, with non-competitive runners staged along Auditorium Road behind the competitive group. The start is at 6:00 am. Awards will be given for the top three finishers in each group as follows – Male under 21, Male 21+, & Female.
If you are interested in maintaining your regular routine, improving your personal best, or wanting to take home an award as a top place finisher, we look forward to seeing you on the course Tuesday morning.
