Region Gatherings Build Spirit and Fellowship
The weather finally cleared in time for Arrowmen from each of the four Regions gathered at Armstrong Stadium for fellowship and fun. The gatherings were the first of several fun events scheduled for Tuesday night.
All several thousand Arrowmen in attendance were given kazoos so you can imagine the noise, I mean music, greeting thosearriving at the stadium. Each Region is assigned its own area and walking from one gathering to the other, you immediately sense the Regional pride.
Region Chiefs addressed their respective Region membership and introduced the Section Chiefs in attendance. This was a great way for Arrowmen to meet the leadership from their Region and Section. Each Region has a unique personality and their own traditions for these gatherings. From introductions by key Region leadership to cheers and karaoke, it was a great time.
Jack O'Neill, our National Chief, and Dan Higham, our National Vice Chief, visited each Region's gathering and along with Region Chiefs promoted Order of the Arrow events especially The OA Service Corps for the 2010 National Jamboree.
The NOAC band serenaded the Arrowmen as the gatherings ended and everyone made their way to the soccer field for the dodge ball games.
