Goodman Games
A series of challenges awaited Arrowmen in Woodlawn Field as they reached the end of the Founders Day Parade. Activities and Recreation Committee staff led small teams in group challenges testing their physical, mental and teamwork skills. A sampling of the games are shown below.
Over, Under, Through
Teams had to get one Arrowman underneath an array of strings, one over a vertical wall of string at the end of the maze and one through the same wall.
Titanic for Two
Standing only on a limited number of carpet squares, teams had to move from one end of the field to the other, bringing their carpet squares with them.
Stilt Relay
Walking on stilts was a carefully-coordinated balancing act as Arrowmen walked down the field.
Bow Saw Gang
Each member of the lodge had to slice a small disc off a log in this competition of lumbering prowess.
NOAC Branding
Belts, boots and caps all felt the heat of a branding iron as Arrowmen took home new souvenir items.
Stretcher Relay
Teams assembled a stretcher from a blanket and two poles and had to transport one Arrowman and two free-floating balloons down the field in this race.
Splint Relay
Teams of five Arrowmen were tied together with cardboard splints and raced down the field without falling over.
