Welcome to NOAC Live! 2009

Participant Award

The 2009 NOAC Participation Award seeks to broaden the NOAC experience. If a NOAC 2009 guest completes the award requirements below, they will earn a special pin. To earn the Award, a guest must:

Part A:

  1. Attend at least 3 days of NOAC training. Participation in competitions or workshops can count for this if they overlap with training.
  2. Do either a or b below
    1. Meet with your contingent leader and discuss ways in which you can make an impact in the world; or
    2. Visit the preservation room at the OA "Center of History" at Briscoe Quadrangle and complete the "Power of My Story".

And Part B:

Do either 1 or 2 below.

  1. Volunteer at NOAC in one of the positions below as well as complete four of the eight requirements from part 2 below.
    1. OA Press Corp: write at least four articles;
    2. OA "Center of History": complete docent training and serve for at least one afternoon in the OA museum;
    3. OA Band/Chorus;
    4. Chief's Corp: help the Chief's Corp with NOAC projects.
  2. Complete all eight of the following:
    1. Attend 3 out of 4 shows;
    2. Participate in one of these Outdoor Adventure programs:
      1. TOAP
      2. SCUBA
      3. Kayaking
      4. Mountain Boarding
    3. Participate in at least three of the following activities:
      1. Badminton
      2. Wiffle Ball
      3. Frisbee Golf
      4. Obstacle Course
      5. Wii Tournament
      6. Volleyball
      7. Ultimate Frisbee
      8. Basketball
      9. Games Shows
      10. Lodgeball
    4. Attend your Region Gathering
    5. Attend HODAG
    6. Go to one of the following:
      1. Attend a Native American dancing or singing activity/event
      2. Participate in an Inductions Ceremony evaluation
      3. Visit the Experience
    7. Attend at least one "Meet the Man" session or VIA Reception
    8. Complete the Powertag wide game.

And Part C:

Live the Scout Oath, Scout Law, and Obligation of the Order of the Arrow while observing the NOAC Code of Conduct (link to Code of Conduct), as certified by your contingent leader.
