Getting Personal with the North Easts

During their NOAC experience, Arrowmen were surprised to find a bus filled with golf balls...specifically 502,044 golf balls! For those of you who know him, it won't come as a surprise that Ryan Hay was somewhat responsible for the golf-ball-filled bus shenanigans. Ryan is this year's North East Region Chief and he is very proud to serve you.

Ryan HayRyan Hay was first inducted into our fine order in 2002. Merely just enjoying the weekends, and hanging out with his dad, he was influenced to do more. Ever since then he's continued to excel. He was elected Lodge Chief three years after his Ordeal. That same year, 2005, he went to NLS. Not surprisingly he was ecstatic about attending and being there. He was inspired after meeting other Arrowmen, including the 2005 National Chief and Vice Chief. Several Section Chiefs and Lodge Chiefs suggested he consider running for higher offices. In 2006, Ryan was re-elected as Lodge Chief, and that being a NOAC year made the position even more special. Ryan always looks beyond himself. This quality has definitely accounted for his success.

Ryan knows what he wants in life and how to get it. Being asked the question, "You're driving down the road in a hurricane, you see three people: your best friend (who saved YOUR life recently), the love of your life, and your mother who is dying and needs to get a hospital. You only have room in your car for two people (you, being the driver, and ONE passenger). Those left behind will most certainly die. What do you do? Who do you pick up?" Ryan's answer: "He would get out of the car and let his friend drive his mother to the hospital while you stayed behind with the love of your life." That pretty much sums up Ryan's character!
