Welcome to NOAC Live! 2009

Amazing Race Begins

Amazing RaceThe Activities and Recreation Committee (ARC) organized many of the events Sunday afternoon, among which included the lodge basketball, volleyball and dodgeball competitions, games of capture the flag, the "open areas" throughout the campus, and ultimate frisbee.

Among the events, one event in particular called Amazing Race was very popular among the first time NOAC guests. The OA's version of the Amazing Race is very similar to the T.V. reality series, The Amazing Race. Amazing Race is a scavenger hunt spread over a period of three days taking place on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Each one of the three legs operates much the same as the others, with teams meeting at the ARC headquarters and receiving their first clue. Their first clue leads to a location on the IU campus, which contains another clue. When the team reaches the location indicated by the second clue, they have questions to answer.  The team brings these questions back to the ARC headquarters, where their timer stops. For every wrong answer the team has, time is added to their total. At the end of the three days, a winner will be announced.

The Activities and Recreation Committee is committed to providing constant activities throughout the week. There is truly something for everyone at NOAC.
