Daily Conference LifeDining![]() ![]() The host, Iowa State University, has opened its dining facilities to the conference participants and staff. The dining staff has been truly helpful and has provided a beautiful and clean environment to gather and discuss the days happenings in a relaxed atmosphere. Patch Trading![]() Patch trading is a frenzy at NOAC. As in many Scouting events the traders descend on almost any open area. Picnic tables, sidewalks, patches of grass, dining halls, back of vehicles, dorm rooms, and the official authorized trading areas. Walking vs. Riding the BusThe age-old mode of transportation, walking, is being used quite a bit
around the campus here at NOAC. As well as the health benefits, walking gives you a chance
to unwind, unless you are in a hurry. Open Recreation![]() The ISU Campus has opened many of its recreational facilities to the Arrowmen. Many have participated in swimming, basketball, volleyball, bowling, billiards, arcade games and many other forms of recreational activities. Some activities were organized and some were spontaneous, but the one thing they all had in common is "they were a lot of fun". Revised 8/06/98.
