Training Course Information

All individuals need to pre-register for their training online at the NOAC event registration web site.

Besides these Inductions and Ceremony Events training sessions, courses are also offered by the Training, High Adventure Expo and Training, American Indian Activities, and National Council of Chiefs committees.

501	Sun 9AM Mon 9AM Tue 9AM 3 Hrs	Sealing the Bonds of Brotherhood This session will cover the Journey to Brotherhood program, the Extended Elangomat program, and the symbolism of the Brotherhood ceremony in an in-depth discussion on ways to inspire Arrowmen to seal their membership.	Experienced Arrowmen - Brotherhood/Vigil Members interested in improving lodge Brotherhood Process.
502	Sun 9AM Mon 9AM Tue 9AM 3 Hrs	Finding the Part: Ceremony Performance Intended for all ceremonialists looking to improve their performance skills, will provide instruction on audiences, becoming a character, and delivering the presentation. 504	Sun 9AM Mon 9AM Tue 9AM 3 Hrs	Dress For Success Learn the appropriate ceremonial costuming, how to utilize accessories and props, and ensure authenticity in your ceremonies (offered in conjunction with experts from American Indian Activities).	New Arrowmen - Ceremonialists and coaches interested in improving their lodge’s ceremonial costuming.
505	Sun 9AM Mon 9AM Tue 9AM 3 Hrs	Before the Ordeal This session is intended for all members of inductions committees or those with particular interest in unit elections, call out ceremonies, and the proper use of the OA Troop/Team Representative in the inductions process. 506	Sun 9AM 3 Hrs	Analyzing the Ceremonies – Pre Ordeal Learn about the different performance practices, symbolism, symbolic progression, and an overall analysis of the Pre-Ordeal ceremony (Offered on Sunday ONLY).	Experienced Arrowmen - Ceremonialists, Ceremonies Coaches, and Arrowmen involved with the inductions process with interest in the Pre-Ordeal.
507	Mon 9AM 3 Hrs	Analyzing the Ceremonies – Ordeal Learn about the different performance practices, symbolism, symbolic progression, and an overall analysis of the Ordeal ceremony (Offered on Monday ONLY).	Experienced Arrowmen - Ceremonialists, Ceremonies Coaches, and Arrowmen involved with the inductions process with interest in the Ordeal.
508	Tue 9AM 3 Hrs	Analyzing the Ceremonies – Brotherhood Learn about the different performance practices, symbolism, symbolic progression, and an overall analysis of the Brotherhood ceremony (Offered on Tuesday ONLY).	Experienced Arrowmen - Brotherhood or Vigil Honor Ceremonialists, Ceremonies Coaches, and Arrowmen involved with the inductions process with interest in the Brotherhood.
509	Sun 9AM Mon 9AM Tue 9AM 3 Hrs	Who Am I?: Character Analysis Intended for ceremonialists and coaches looking for in-depth discussion on the 4 character principals.	Experienced Arrowmen - Ceremonialists and Coaches looking to improve their principals in their ceremonies.
510	Sun 9AM Mon 9AM Tue 9AM 3 Hrs	The Vigil Commitment Enhance your understanding and personal commitment to the Vigil Honor by examining it from start to finish. It will focus on ceremonial performance and include history, candidate selection, and Vigil Honor call out ceremonies.	Advanced Arrowmen - Vigil Honor members only
511	Sun 9AM Mon 9AM Tue 9AM 3 Hrs	Coaching and Evaluating OA Ceremonies Learn about the current National OA standard for evaluating a ceremonies team, proper methods of coaching ceremonialists, and the recruitment and development of a lodge ceremonies team.	Advanced Arrowmen - Youth Ceremonialists who are older in age and Advisers who are responsible or interested in coaching and evaluating OA ceremonies.
512	Sun 9AM 3 Hrs	The Complete Inductions Training (TCIT) This 3 day course will cover: The Spark: An introduction to inductions management. The Fuel: The ten induction principles (presented by the 2004 Region Chiefs). Inductions management before the Ordeal: Unit Elections, Call Out Ceremonies, and the Role of the OA Troop Representative. Inductions management from Ordeal through Brotherhood: Ordeal Administration, JumpStart/New Member Orientation, and Brotherhood Administration.	Advanced Arrowmen - Experienced inductions people - chairmen, lodge officers, inductions advisers - not recommended for people who are only interested in ceremonies.
