NOAC Radio

Where at NOAC can you listen to music all day and also hear people impersonating celebrities like The Rolling Stones' Keith Richards and Paul "Crocodile Dundee" Hogan? Yep, you guessed it, NOAC Radio, also known as "The Voices in Your Head."

NOAC Radio, WWWW 101.5 FM, runs from 6 a.m. to midnight every day of NOAC. The Arrowmen running the station work in groups of two at a time in four hour shifts.

The station is based in a large booth which is located at the track during the day and next to the arena at night. Large speakers outside of the booth provide an opportunity for any Arrowmen in the area to enjoy the station. Arrowmen can also come up to the booth and request songs to be played. The station's music collection comes from personal CDs as well as digital music.

When the staff isn't on the air, they are out doing interviews on a tape recorder or working in "The Swamp." "The Swamp" is a room which allows the staff to record station identification commercials and OA promotion ads such as those featuring the voices of Richards, Hogan and Bob Dylan.

The staff, which is composed of seven youth and five adults, not only plays music, but also gives weather updates, local and national news reports and NOAC promotion advertisements. A recent promo features the voices of the National Chief and Vice-Chief inviting all participants to visit the newly opened OA museum.
