Staff Information

At SummitCorps 2011 there will be two different staff positions available. The first is general weekly SummitCorps event staff, they will be assigned for one week and be required to pay the registration fee. The second is the InstructorCorps which will be selected and hired as employees of the BSA for the duration of the event (all 4 weeks). More information is available below on the various staffing opportunities and application process. Please note that the registration system will not be available until OCTOBER 1, 2010.

Staff Applications

All Arrowmen interested in being considered for a SummitCorps staff assignment must complete a staff application online, print, and mail to the Incident Commander of the week they are interested in staffing. A staff member hoping to serve at more than one week should submit a separate application for each week. All staff registrations must be received by December 1, 2010 via the National Order of the Arrow Event Registration System through the URL https://registration.oa-bsa.org. Any required hard-copy forms will be produced during the online process. Once approved by the Incident Commander and OA Team Leader, staff members will be notified by the national office and mailed a Staff Assignment Confirmation and arrival date. Scout Executive approval is mandatory for all SummitCorps staff applicants.

InstructorCorps Positions

The InstructorCorps (I-Corps) is a team of highly trained instructors who will serve as crew leaders for the SummitCorps program. Arrowmen interested in becoming an I-Corps member must be at least 18 years old by June 1, 2011 and registered members of the Order of the Arrow and the BSA. Instructors will be employed as full-time, paid staff for the SummitCorps. All potential Instructor Corp members must request this position by registering as a staff member, at the National Order of the Arrow Event Registration System through the URL https://registration.oa-bsa.org.
