NOAC Staff Opportunities

If interested in staffing NOAC 2022, Arrowmen should sign up for their preferred committee using the National Order of the Arrow Event Registration System (NOAERS) at registration.oa-bsa.org. All additional questions should be directed to Contingent & Staff Services at concierge@oa-bsa.org. The fee to attend is only $625.

  • Adventure Central – Responsible for all high adventure-related activities including the Adventure Expo (outdoor gear show), STEM Adventures, and Adventure Activities at the Conference. Owns relationships with major third-party vendors associated with the Experience.
  • Communications – Responsible for the various media outlets at NOAC, including the electronic newspaper, website, hometown blogs, radio station and national event promotions. Develops the conference branding guide and templates. Builds the printed conference guide. Manages public relations with external media/groups.
  • Activities & Recreation – Responsible for staging a variety of activities, including: athletic competitions, recreational activities, movies, etc. including off-campus activities. Facilitates conference-wide patch trading.
  • Ignite Festival – Responsible for the Friday conference festival. Provides assistance to region chiefs as they execute Thursday night region gatherings in conjunction with Region leadership.
  • Induction & Ceremonial Events – Responsible for helping lodges improve the quality of their OA ceremonies (Ordeal, Brotherhood & Vigil). This includes staging techniques, presentation, memorization, and American Indian regalia. Works in conjunction with Training to host and conduct ceremony-related training sessions and workshops.
  • Shows – Responsible for the development, production and staging of the Opening Show, Recognition Show, Showcase Show (featuring our American Indian dance tradition) and Theme Show. Works collaboratively with AIA for the Heritage Show and Special Events for the Recognition show.
  • Training – Responsible for developing and conducting OA training programs and educational opportunities for both youth and adult delegates. This also includes the thematic Signature Training Session. Manages the overall training approach and scheduling across all committees with a training component.
  • Sustainability – Responsible for coordinating sustainability efforts at conference. Liaises with university sustainability office. Responsible for conservation activities and training including the Arrowman Conservation School.
  • Edson Company – The OA service corps at the 2022 NOAC! Responsible for providing manpower resources in support of various conference programs and logistics. These servant leaders embody brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service.
  • Security – Responsible for conference public safety including enforcing the code of conduct. Supports safety and security efforts throughout all conference functions.
