Welcome from the 2015 national officers
Brothers,
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 2015 National Order of the Arrow Conference. Countless hours of planning went into making this event a success. While conference leaders from all over the country worked to build a NOAC like no other, you too have labored to submit that medical form on time, to create your dynamic training schedule and to prepare for the experience of a lifetime. The truth is that this conference is a product of 100 years of work and service that crafted the Order as we know it today. This week, that work continues.
Our actions, or inactions, over the 100 hours that we have together at Michigan State University will set the tone for the next generation of servant leaders. It is your time to craft the second century of the Order of the Arrow and we would like to help you get started. Consider these five tips to make the most of the 2015 NOAC:
- Become a Conference Champion. This participation incentive will encourage you to take part in activities, attend training, and engage in NOAC to the fullest. Are you up to the challenge?
- Participate in centennial events. Whether it’s at the Centennial Gala, Fire, Festival, Centurion Reception or Lodge Legacy Display, make your mark on the Order’s centennial celebration. Reflect on our past, connect with new Arrowmen and discover the potential you have to create the future.
- Stay Connected with NOAC. Keep the latest news at your fingertips by following NOAC on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.
- Share your experiences with others. The conference wide Spark game will help you to do this. Meet new people, learn about their Scouting story and connect with them through a “High Four.”
- Above all, have fun. A great second century will be fueled only through your passion and enthusiasm. Seek to reignite your love for Scouting and the Order, and bring that to others this week.
The future is yours to create. We can’t wait to see how you’ll get started.
With warm spirits,
