Goodbye from the NOAC website team
Arrowmen, parents, and visitors,
Wow! The 100 hours of NOAC 2015 have finally come to an end. The event that we’ve been anticipating for one hundred years has happened.
As we learned this week, our future starts with us. The impact of our next hundred years will depend on the actions we take today.
During the planning process for this website, the web team wanted to support the central theme of the conference in every way we could. It is my hope that we succeeded in conveying a sense of the magic that is NOAC to everyone, both at the conference and at home.
The website was run by the NOAC web team, six of the finest Arrowmen that I’ve ever had the privilege of working with. Many thanks to Rohun Agarwal, Peter Bird, Jon Carl, Tyler Ault, Frank Davis, and John Benz. I sincerely hope that you enjoyed this week, and thank you for your service — this couldn’t have happened without you.
A special thanks to my adviser, Doug Kupec. It’s been great to work with you over the past months to prepare and run this website at NOAC.
To give perspective, here are a few stats from this year. Each day, we had an average of 10,258 website visitors, for a total of 71,807 visitors since August 1. The total number of page views was 244,127; the NOAC TV page alone received over 25,000 views.
Brothers, we challenge you: take to heart all the lessons learned here at NOAC. #DareToDo an act of kindness for others each day. Most importantly, recognize that you, the youth, are the future of our order and the future of the world. Take ownership of that power, and use it to spread Scouting and impact the world.
Yours in WWW,
Nathan Vick
