Final NEXT Factor
Final NEXT Factor to feature Innovation Center ideas
Coming up at tonight’s gathering, look forward to the last edition of the NEXT Factor! At the gathering, the last NEXT Factor Champion will be crowned from three ideas that were refined and submitted by crews through the Innovation Center. Here is a quick look at our three idea finalists, and the crew members that will be presenting them:
Crew 27 developed the Sash and Bash, a series of fun activities and COPE initiative games with new and old brothers together after the Ordeal feast. This event is designed to welcome new brothers and form bonds between new and old brothers. It gives brand-new members a look at some of the fun activities that they can experience through the Order of the Arrow after a hard day of service. This idea will be presented by Wyatt Engelmann from O-Shot-Caw Lodge out of Miami Lakes, Florida.
Crew 36 ideated the Active Arrowman Award App, an app that allows Arrowmen to collect points for various events, achievements, and accomplishments. These points then could be redeemed for prizes. This would help connect with Arrowmen from a technology standpoint, and will help give them another reason to be more active within their lodge. This idea will be presented by Cameron Killian from Tulpe Lodge out of East Providence, Rhode Island.
Crew 15 proposed LEC Overnights, where after each LEC meeting, the lodge holds a service project for their council camp, a fun fellowship activity for the LEC members, and an overnight together at the camp. This not only emphasizes the principles of brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service within the LEC members and attendees, but it will give them a chance to get to know each other in a more relaxed setting, rather than only the formal meetings. This idea will be presented by John Roosevelt from Lowanne Nimat Lodge out of Syracuse, New York.
Be sure to attend tonight’s gathering to get the complete picture of these ideas, and to cast your vote as to which one should be the NEXT best practice for the Order of the Arrow!
