Goodbye from the Web Site CVC

Dear Arrowmen, Parents, and Friends,

Andy Collins, Conference Vice Chief of NOAC Live! Web Site As our 29th conference comes to a close, it is amazing to look back and think that only 7 short months ago "NOAC 2006" was put on the drawing board in front of 47 section chiefs at the National Planning Meeting in Dallas, TX.  The amount of fun, fellowship, new friendships, training, and brotherhood the participants at this year's conference have shown is amazing, and is truly a memory of a lifetime.

This year is the first time the the web team has been its own conference committee at NOAC.  It has truly been an honor serving as the first NOAC CVC of Web Site.  I would like to take a few minutes and thank some people who have helped me out with the website.  Jim Ganley of Grand Monadnock Lodge, Nashua Valley Council #230 created an online content management tracking system for all of the stories written on the website.  Doug Kupec, National OA Web Site Adviser, and Brian Love, National OA Web Site Youth Coordinator helped us with many of the technical issues, helped with the Lodge Web Site competition, and helped integrate the NOAC Live! site into the National Site.  Chris Abisla of Grand Monadnock Lodge, Nashua Valley Council #230, and Thomas Lambert of Chilantakoba Lodge, Southeast Louisiana Council # 214 who were my two team lead youths who helped organize the teams before NOAC and onsite.  My lead adviser, Craig Salazar who was always there to keep me on track and help out with any issues which arose over the past 7 months.  Without him this web site would never have gotten off the ground.

All 18 members of my staff worked tirelessly over these past few days to provide coverage of NOAC to everyone across the world, and help preserve the memories of NOAC for years to come.  To give you some statistics about the website, we have written almost 80 articles, posted six cartoons, five photo galleries, two videos, and seven podcasts, and blogs every day, and taken almost 5,000 photos totaling 6.5 Gigabytes of data.

As we leave NOAC continue to spread the words of Brotherhood, Cheerfulness, and Service across the country, and do not forget about the memories made here during the 2006 NOAC at Michigan State University.  See you in 2008 at ArrowCorps5, and in 2009 at Indania University for the next NOAC.

Yours in Brotherhood,

Andy Collins
