Fujimoto Receives Red Arrow Award

Red Arrow AwardThe Red Arrow Award is presented by the National Order of the Arrow Committee for distinguished service to the Order by either non-Scouters or Scouters who are not members of the Order.  This service may take many forms and should involve a significant period of time, as opposed to single event.  Irene Fujimoto - 2006 Red Arrow Award RecipientIrene Fujimoto is the 2006 recipient of the Order’s Red Arrow Award. Irene hails from Tempe, Arizona where she serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Western Region Associate Director for Program. In this capacity, Irene is responsible for various forms of administrative support for the Western Region involving their National Leadership Seminars and their National Lodge Adviser Training Seminars. She has been instrumental in organizing the yearly Region Meetings and Gathering of the Chiefs. Irene has also engaged in a remarkable Cub Scouting career over the years as a Cub Camp Pow-Wow Chairman and a Cub Scout Camp Director for six years. In recognition for her service she has been awarded the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award. Her husband is a member of The Grand Canyon Council Executive Staff and she has two sons that are both Eagle Scouts.  For the graceful manner in which she has conducted herself throughout her career, Irene has won the admiration and respect of those who work with her and a sincere debt of gratitude from the Order of the Arrow.
