Lodges Show Off Their History To The Nation

Lodge History Patch DisplayThe NOAC Museum is full of priceless OA memorabilia. In addition to the memorabilia representing our national history, the museum also contains a special section reserved for individual lodge history displays. These displays give the lodges a chance to tell the other Arrowmen about their lodge and its history.

Monday the individual lodge displays were judged as part of the Lodge History Display competition. Over 55 lodges from across the nation entered this competition and in doing so put up a wide variety of displays. According to the Special Events Committee, 55 lodges was a better turnout than previous years. The purpose of theLodge History Display displays was for the lodges to show their history in a combination of lodge memorabilia including documents, patches, and photographs. Lodges also had a youth member present an oral history of their lodge. While the displays varied in size from large to small and all sizes in between, they all told the rich stories of  their lodge and its' history.

While the results from the competition will not be revealed until Founder's Day, the lodges are to be commended for their outstanding displays and their effort in preserving their lodge histories.
