Once all of the Section Leaders had taken their seats, the Section Leadership Dinner opened with the the Brotherhood Chorus singing two very beautiful songs: America the Beautiful and the song of our Order.At the conclusion of the songs, there was a round of applause and everyone took their seats again for dinner. National Vice Chief David Dowty then asked an Arrowman to stand up so the Section Leaders could sing happy birthday to him.
Following the meal, the Chairman of the Order of the Arrow National Committee, Brad Haddock addressed the Arrowmen. He touched upon the Strategic Plan and how the Order is doing a great job. He also spoke about the Chief Scout Executive and his love of the Order of the Arrow. Mr. Haddock went on to thank Matt Walker for making this conference such a success. He also thanked the National Officers for portraying the ideals of Scouting. He then asked the National Chief, Jeff Hayward, to give the closing comments to the gathering. Jeff spoke about how all Arrowmen can join together to make the future of the Order of the Arrow a bright one. He also thanked the National Committee of the Order of the Arrow for making the conference possible.. Hayward concluded that just like other meeting in the Order of the Arrow, the Section Leadership Dinner was going to end with the Order of the Arrow song.
At that point 350 brothers stood around the room and sang the song of the Order. Following the meeting, each Region Chief then met briefly with the Section Chiefs from their region..
