Late Night with OA Training

Late Night Training PatchOn Monday night the Training Committee held a Late Night with OA Training on the ethics of Patch Trading called "How to Not Get Hosed." The training session was on how to tell the differences between real and spoof patches. During the session, the trainers had set up scenarios on how to be nice, how to meet people, and how to act during a patch trade.

The trainers gave an example of a real jamboree patch and a spoof jamboree patch. They also showed an example of a spoof felt 1948 NOAC patch, and then revealed the differences in the real patch.

The participants in the session were all given a Blue Book CD which contains more than 50,000 entries on Scouting memorabilia. When the participants left they were handed the Late Night with OA Training Patch (it was the real thing of course).

Revised 8/3/2004.
