Training Begins at NOAC!

NOAC Training Committee Logo One of the chief reasons for holding a National Order of the Arrow Conference is to help train Arrowmen. The Training Committee has worked long and hard to provide the best in OA education. Sessions this year include NLS 2, a session geared for those Arrowmen who have completed the National Leadership Seminar and want to learn more. There is a session on becoming a NOAC Certified OA Troop/Team A training session. election representative. For those interested in the shows at NOAC, there is a session called “It’s Show Time!” where participants get a behind the scenes look at how shows work. More traditional sessions are also offered such as Adult’s Role, Lodge Finances, and of course many ceremonies sessions.

Session on making ceremonies costume The Training Committee does not work alone. Training staff work in conjunction with Special Events, TOAP, High Adventure, Ceremonies, and American Indian Activities to ensure the highest quality of program. The Training Committee also provides evaluations to each of its trainers each day by 3 P.M., so sessions only get better as the week progresses. Justin A., a trainer for "OA and Summer Camp", says "Training is the opportunity for Arrowmen to learn new ideas, and apply them in their lodge and troop."
