Playing Frisbee While contingents waited for their Lodge Chief and Adviser to finish registration, they had the opportunity to recuperate from the trip to Ames, meet fellow Arrowmen from around the country and to play frisbee. New to NOAC 2004 were the Redneck Games which took place near the registration area. Also, lodge contingents had the opportunity to sign up for the specific events and competitions they wished to participate in at NOAC.

As part of the registration process, Arrowmen met with their Region Chief to discuss emergency procedures in the case of bad weather. Also, they talked about how the week will run and what they hope everyone will get out of the conference itself.

With that the contingent was off to their assigned dorms where they received information on where they will be dinning during the conference. They were also given binders that contained individualized information for each participant as well as the requirements for the Brotherhood participation award. In order to receive the award, NOAC participants are required to attend the training cells, competitions, view exhibits, learn about the Order’s history and meet Arrowmen from other lodges.

As NOAC 2004 shifts into high gear, those experiencing it for the first time cannot fathom the excitement, fellowship, and exhaustion that is about to ensue. NOAC veterans may think they know what’s in store, but they will soon discover 2004 to be like none before. Throughout the week, Arrowmen will realize they were “Chosen to Serve, Inspired to Lead.”
