Historic Reenactment Ceremony Competition

CandidatesThe Historic Reenactment Ceremony Competition is one of three separate competitions for lodges at the OA Center for History at NOAC. (The other two are Lodge Historical Display and Lodge Oral History Presentation.) These competitions emphasize local OA history as well as the history of the ceremonies.

The Center for OA History presented four live historical ceremonies as planned during training cells at the 2003 Indian Summer. These ceremonies were the first Ceremony for the Ordeal, the first Pre-Ordeal, the first Brotherhood (Second Degree) and the first known Vigil Honor Ceremony. Each ceremony is historically different from those currently used, allowing all Arrowmen to attend any historical ceremony regardless of their honor.
