OA Museum
The OA Museum, which will be located in the Flame Room of McNutt
Quadrangle, will showcase the heritage of our Order's 87 year history through
the theme "Discover Your OA History."
In partnership with the International
Scouting Collector's Association (ISCA) and North Star Scouting Museum, a
greatly expanded OA museum will include static displays of priceless
historical memorabilia, audiovisual presentations, and living history
interviews.
For the first time, Arrowmen, will have the opportunity to
participate in actual on-site preservation activities and learn how to search
out and preserve their own history.
Lodges may also place a local history
display in the museum on a space-available basis by completing the OA Museum
Lodge History Display application. All displays will be judged on use of
the museum theme, educational value, historical significance, and youth
participation. Participation, Merit, and Quality recognition will be
awarded. (An OA Museum Lodge History Display Application is enclosed in
the National Conference Program Packet.)
The OA Museum Lodge History Display
application is available on the
NOAC 2002 Forms page.
