Inductions and Ceremonial Events
Training

An ICE Training Cell

This group of training courses and workshops helps members that have chosen the art of ceremonies as their way to give service to the Order. Ceremonies are how we explain what the Order to new members. It is in the ceremonies that the legend and obligation are given and best explained. And it is through good ceremonies that many new members are hooked, and so remain in Scouting and the Order.

Among the areas of training that are part of Inductions and Ceremonies are cells on the use of the ceremony principals, staging better ceremonies and with areas such elangomat ordeals. There are also ceremony evaluations to help ceremonial teams improve.

Introduction to Ceremonies was another favorite among the participants. This session introduced many new Arrowmen to ways and reasons of Order of the Arrow ceremonies. The course emphasized several core ceremonial topics. The instructor gave examples of what a ceremonialist is versus an actor.
