Goodman-opoly Rules
This could be the world's largest monoploy game ever. Test your knowledge
about the Order and its founder. Two to Three person teams will play
together. Look for this event it should be easy to spot! No advance
sign up is needed, just play when you arrive.
You are about to participate in the biggest monoply game ever
played on earth (we think!). You will have a blast (we hope).
Read these simple instructions and you will be ready to play.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
First, find yourself a buddy, partner, or friend. Everyone will
have to be in a double or triple to participate. As you enter
the board, you will be given assigned a number. This is your
group, i.e. the guys you are playing against. There will be 7
or 8 teams in each group. Each pair or triple will be given
$1500 to start with.
STARTING OUT
Roll the dice at the GO station. The manager there will write
on your destination sheet where you are
supposed to go. Walk around the "board" and stop at the
property you landed on.
BUYING PROPERTY AND RENT
When you land on a property, you have the option to buy it if
no one from your group has already done so. Prices and rent
will be posted. If you decide to buy, the property manager will
show you what to do. Be sure to stop by any property you buy
periodically to pick up rent money. You do not have to land on
your property to pick up rent.
If someone else from your group has already bought the property
you landed on, you will be required to pay rent on it.
BUYING TEEPEES
If you own all the properties in a color group, you have the
option to buy up to three teepees (our version of Monopoly's
houses and hotels) for your property. You must land on your
property to buy teepees on it.
GOING BROKE, TRADING, AND ALL THAT FUN STUFF
You do have the option to trade, buy or sell properties to
people in your group only. Be sure not to get the raw end of a
deal.
If you get real low on cash, you may sell your property
back to the bank for half of the purchase price at any time
during the game. Sorry, no mortgaging. Take the property back
to its location on the board.
If you pass GO, collect $200.
If your roll doubles three times in a row, you will be sent
directly to jail. Do not pass GO, do not collect $200. Further
instructions will be given at the jail.
LEAVING THE GAME
When you are ready to leave the game, or if you are bankrupt,
head towards the GO table. That is the only entry and exit of
the game. You will be asked to turn in your money and property
before you leave. Thanks for Playing.
