Q & A: Day Pass
Q:
Can Arrowmen obtain a "Day Pass" that
would allow them to attend NOAC events without being a registered
participant, if they are responsible for their own food and
lodging?
A: There is no program as you describe for NOAC 2000.
People are welcome to visit NOAC,
but only registered participants can participate
in the conference events. Some aspects of
NOAC, such as looking as displays and watching
some competitions, would be available to
visitors. Most parts of the conference, including
training sessions, shows, and
participating in competitions, are reserved
for registered attendees only.
As the "2000 Lodge Contingent Leader Guide", says:
"Registered Participants Only:
Only those persons officially registered with
a lodge contingent or serving as approved
conference staff will be allowed to participate
in the national conference."
There is no one-day registration for
NOAC (participants must register through their
local lodge, and be present for the entire
conference.) There is also no formal program or
support for general visitors.
While there is not a visitor center for
the conference, there are several "Info
Booths" set up around the campus. They
proved some basic information on what is
happening where. Also, the host university usually
has a visitor center for general campus
information.
