Michael Hoffman, NOAC Lead Adviser for Training, enthusiastically reported that training was going strong at NOAC 2000. The number of training sessions has increased 45 percent from NOAC 1998. Justin Borren, Conference Vice Chief for Training commented on the sessions saying "Arrowmen here learn how the OA works, how BSA works, and how we all work in society".

Some highlights of this year's training sessions were the first NOAC Train the Trainer program, and the nine hour pilot Lodge Adviser Training Program with sessions featuring the National Chief and National Vice Chief.

5,534 Arrowmen are participating in Training sessions this year at NOAC, and approximately 150 sessions are being offered. 140 Arrowmen are working as Training Staff.

NOAC Training was composed of four separate areas of interest.

American Indian Training

Administrative/Leadership Training

Inductions and Ceremonial Training

Camping and High Adventure Training
