Ceremonies Events are Cooler Than ICE

The Inductions and Ceremonial Events staff, or ICE staff, as it is affectionately known, is in charge of all ceremony team evaluations, ceremony training, the intensive training workshop and the rededication ceremony. Bob Crume, the committee’s conference vice chief, has been hard at work since the December National Planning Meeting. |
The ceremony evaluations are a huge undertaking. There are 20 venues in each session. In each venue, there are two judges. So at any given time, there are 40 judges working.
In ceremony training, there are 13 lead trainers who are in charge of
teaching the 13 training sessions in the ICE staff. And the trainers are
top-rate, according to their leader.
“We have some of the best ceremony trainers in the nation,” said Crume.
The intensive training (IT) workshop is a very intense training session for those who want to reach into the depths of the true meaning of ceremonies. This training session not only goes through the words of the ceremonies, it also delves into its symbolism and meaning, and conveying the true part of the ceremony.
At Founders' Day, the ICE staff will have the best-rated pre-ordeal and ordeal ceremony teams give performances. This will allow all the conference delegates to see some of the best ceremonies in the nation today. Crume compares this to the best of the best training that also will be at Founders' Day.
