The National Order of the Arrow committee is proud to present Arrowmen the opportunity
to shape the future of not only their local lodges, but impact the future of Arrowmen
through out the nation at the National Conservation and Leadership Summit!
The 2007 National Conservation and Leadership Summit (NCLS) will take place July
28 thru August 1, 2007 at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
This summit has a twofold purpose. The first will be to train key site leadership
and squad leaders for the 2008 ArrowCorps5 (pronounced Arrow Corp Five) The second
purpose of the NCLS is to introduce to key leaders of lodges and sections the 2008-2012
Order of the Arrow Strategic Plan.
For Lodge Leaders:
The NCLS is designed for the key leaders of lodges, sections and regions. Therefore
council contingents may send up to five Arrowmen to the NCLS. Out of these five,
two must be youth Arrowmen. The Summit is not like any other OA training experience... |

Arrowmen interested in staffing at the ArrowCorp5 projects will have the chance
to learn about trail rehabilitation techniques, crew management skills and topics
specific to each of the five national park project sites. Arrowmen working on
the conservation side of the NCLS will become an integral part of the leadership
for ArrowCorps5, and adults and youth meeting the Philmont Height and Weight
requirements are encouraged to come... |
