Staff Arrives at DTW

  1. Take the Michigan Flyer. Beginning July 28th, there will be daily departures to the East Lansing Marriott between 6:30am and 10:30pm. Travel takes around two and a half hours.
  2. Beginning Thursday, July 30th, there will be a shuttle service for all staff and their luggage to Kellogg. Prior to July 30th, arriving staff will either be dropped at Kellogg by Michigan Flyer or get picked up by Kellogg Hotel van.
  3. Follow the signage to the registration office to check-in. The office will confirm your fees are paid, Youth Protection Training is up-to-date, medical form is approved and emergency contact is confirmed. You will also receive their name badge with Spark, a packet of information, Centennial sash and show tickets. Once confirmed, your housing billet will be printed which you can take to either your dorm or hotel in exchange for their key.
  4. Your housing assignment:
    1. If you are staying in a dorm: You will walk or take transportation van with your luggage to your assigned dorm. There you will receive your dorm key.
    2. If you are staying in a hotel: You will take a transportation van—with you luggage—to your assigned hotel. There you will receive your room key and give the front desk a credit card imprint for any incidental charges.
    3. If you are arriving early: After check-in, you will go to the housing office in order to be issued a room. See A. and B. above for transportation.
