August 3 is Founder's Day at NOAC 2012!
Posted by Frank Gamez, CVC of Founder's Day - February 26, 2012

The last full day of NOAC 2012 is Founder's Day where the Order pays tribute to Dr. E. Urner Goodman and Caroll A. Edson, who founded the organization on July 16, 1915, at Treasure Island Scout Camp. Dr. Goodman once said, "The Order of the Arrow is a thing of the spirit rather than of mechanics." And Founder's Day reflects that vision. After a week of training, fellowship, and fun - the theme "United, We Leave a Legacy" continues on the final day of NOAC: Founder's Day!

Founder's Day will begin with the famous Founder's Day parade that will traverse through Michigan State University and will conclude at the Goodman Games which are a set of fun games that will bring together lodge contingents to challenge your leadership, teamwork, and Scouting skills.

After the Goodman Games, the Founder's Fair begins! Each lodge will have their own booth to give away free goodies that represent their hometown! Don't forget to bring a bag and be ready to get lots of free gifts and learn from different lodges around the nation.

Don't forget to bring a t-shirt too! Returning this year are the Founder's Day t-shirt silk-screening stations! You'll be able to permanently screen the NOAC 2012 Founder's Day logo onto your t-shirt!

Prepare yourself for live entertainment, flash events, patch trading, and good ol' fun with Arrowmen from across the nation! Everyone will gather for NOAC's main attraction: Founder's Day! Founder's Day marks the end of NOAC 2012 - but that is just the beginning of a long journey. You will take away the NOAC experience and the elements of this year's theme "United, We Leave a Legacy."
